USB-A

This is the “classic,” rectangular type that most people think of when they hear “USB.” Most computers still have one or more USB-A ports that you can use to connect accessories such as a mouse and keyboard. You’ll also find USB-A ports on devices like game consoles and TVs.

USB-B

This almost square-shaped connector is not as common anymore, as many devices that used to rely on it have switched to smaller types. Not too long ago, it was the standard for devices like printers. If you need an adapter, we offer several cables that let you use Type-B with other types.

USB-C

Type-C is the newest type of connector and port — with the obvious advantage of being reversible. That’s why it’s often called “flippable.” This type allows for faster file transfers and can also support faster charging.

Mini

This is a smaller type of connector that was widely used for mobile phones until fairly recently. Some cameras still use this type.

Micro

Micro is the successor to the Mini type and was especially used for mobile phones. However, this type is now being phased out in favor of the newer Type-C mentioned above.
